Corrupt spring

The King assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king’s table.  But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine.

Daniel 1:5-8

...Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.

 Revelation 2:20

A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.

proverbs 25:26

Food is a portal to your soul.

Beware what you eat and drink!

Fall came when Eve ATE what she shouldn't.

The Wind

 Jesus answered:

“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are

born of water and the Spirit.

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

You should not be surprised at my saying, You must be born again.’

The wind blows wherever it pleases.

You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it

is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

“How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

“You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things?  Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.  I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

becoming Father Abraham, becoming a friend of Adonai

The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself.”

But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say,

 ‘I made Abram rich.’

genesis 14:21-23

You, descendants of Abraham my friend,

I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners.

I said, ‘You are My servant.’ I have chosen and not rejected you.

Adonai

isaiah 41:8

Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.

James 4:4

Before the silver cord is snapped

Remember YOUR CREATOR—before the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, and the wheel broken at the well,
and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Remember YOUR CREATOR in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them".

Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

King Solomon

True Love for Adonai means obeying his commands, and his commands don’t weigh us down as heavy burdens.

Not even to eat with

Your boasting is not good.

Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened.

For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people — not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.

But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler.

NOT EVEN TO EAT with such a one.

For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside.

“Purge the evil person from among you.”

Has your King perished?

Why are you crying Rachel?

This is what the LORD says: “I hear a voice of mourning and great weeping, Rachel is weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”
This is what the LORD says: “Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,” declares the LORD.
“They will return from the land of the enemy.
So there is hope for your descendants,” declares the LORD.
“Your children will return to their own land."

Jeremiah 31:15-17

Eternity in their hearts

For everything there is a season,

a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

What do people really get for all their hard work?
I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.
He has planted Eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.
And I know that whatever God does is final.
Nothing can be added to it or taken from it.
God’s purpose is that people should fear him.
( King Solomon)

Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
( Eclesiastes 7:8 )

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

(Romans 12:2)

Be still.
